It can happen to anyone, a wrecked sled, blown motor or even worse an injury that prevents you from getting off the mountain.  Spending the night in the winter wilderness is not an ideal situation but if you have to do it, be prepared.  The Surviva Vest uses Argon gas to add a layer of life saving insulation or can even be used as a ground pad to elevate the body off of the snow and efficiently insulate the body from the frozen ground.

The design of the Motorfist Surviva-Vest™ is to minimize weight and maximize pack-ability while insuring survivability and warmth. It can be used in two ways;

• • Underneath your shell, efficiently trapping and holding your body heat. When temperature drops at night you may find you need additional insulation, or if your clothing has become wet, you may need insulation that will work even if damp.
• • As a ground pad, elevating the body off of and efficiently insulating the body from the frozen ground.

Instructions:

• • To Inflate: Put the vest on and fasten the buckle to a loose fit, then pull the cord on the inflation valve.  Or lay flat on the ground avoiding sharp objects and pull the cord.
• • To Deflate: Simply push and turn the purge valve.  Compress the Surviva-Vest™ gently to allow argon to escape from the vest by rolling it toward the purge valve.

Why Noble Gases?

Noble Gases are incredibly thermally efficient.  Simply put, they keep the warmth in better.  See the yellow line of the chart.  A 4.5 mm bladder of argon insulates as well as 14.5 mm of the best fiber and down insulation on the market.
