Nothing moves more snow than this shovel, not even your snowblower. The grips on this shovel make it very comfortable to use and the shovel can be used in multiple variations, to make shoveling snow or moving snow much easier than the next shovel. A must have!
I've been using the D2 shovel for 2 years, and I'll never go back to a standard shovel again. I use this shovel in Dozer mode 90% of the time. So much snow can be moved so efficiently that it makes a regular shovel seem like shoveling with a broom stick! If my life is on the line, I don't want my companions using any other shovel beside this one...PERIOD!!
I have been in numerous situations where I am digging along side a few other sledders while using this shovel in the Dozer position and have been able to out dig them 2:1. This thing moves a massive amount of snow. And while it may not be made for it, to chop through ice in this position is much easier, puts you in an ax chopping maneuver that allows you to get more momentum behind your swing. In the years that I have been using this shovel I have used it in the regular position MAYBE a handful of times. It is a back saver! A sledders best friend really!
